Aquapure Pesticide Cleaner

You rinse fruit and vegetables under the tap. The AquaPure adds a step: you put them in a bowl of water with a pinch of salt, place the device in it and let the programme run for five minutes. A quick rinse afterwards, and you are done.

How the AquaPure works

The AquaPure works by electrolysis. You put your fruit and vegetables in a bowl of water with a pinch of salt and place the device on the bottom. Two plates inside pass a small current through the salty water. You will see fine bubbles rising, and for a short while the water becomes a mild cleaning bath for the outside of your fruit and vegetables.

After five minutes the programme stops. Then you give everything a quick rinse under the tap, so no salt is left behind.

How to use it

1. Put a pinch of salt in a clean bowl. Any kind of salt works.
2. Fill it with water at room temperature and stir until the salt has dissolved.
3. Place the AquaPure on the bottom, well under water, and add your fruit and vegetables.
4. Press the button once. The blue light flashes while the programme runs.
5. Leave everything for a few more minutes after the programme, then rinse it in a colander under the cold tap.

Is something floating on top, such as a pepper or an apple? Turn it over after the first round and start a second, or put a plate on top so everything stays under water. Stirring now and then during the programme also helps.

What you can expect

The AquaPure works on the outside: dirt and residues on the skin, such as from pesticides, and the folds of leafy vegetables that are hard to reach by rinsing. Handy for everything you eat skin and all: grapes, strawberries, lettuce, cherry tomatoes, apples.
