What exactly is distilling water?

Water distillation is a process in which the water is purified by removing all waste products. By heating the water, dust particles with a higher boiling point than water are not evaporated. The vapour without these particles is then condensed, resulting in clean and pure water. With the aid of a water distiller, this clean vapour is captured and you can distil water yourself from home. Besides distilling water, it is also possible to ionize or filter the water. These are other techniques which also contribute to the improvement of water quality.
