Cynthia van Driel

Orthomolecular epigenetic therapist · Co-owner and Chief Operating Officer

For years Cynthia worked as a senior product manager in the insurance industry, until she noticed the work no longer gave her much satisfaction. She wanted to make a difference for others and retrained as an orthomolecular epigenetic therapist. At Meditech Europe she is the point of contact for supplements.

“Thoughts shape your world. It is our own thoughts that create the world around us.”

Questions about supplements

Not sure which form suits you, how and when to take something, or what does and doesn't combine well? Cynthia is an orthomolecular therapist and is happy to think along with you. Taking medication? Then always check with your doctor or pharmacist first.

From insurance to nutrition

The switch did not come out of nowhere. Cynthia kept seeing the same thing around her: health is a precious thing, but school doesn't teach you how to keep it. Many people think they are making healthy choices when that is often not the case. She wanted to do something about that.

In 2019 she started training as an orthomolecular adviser, completed her training as an orthomolecular epigenetic therapist in 2022, and also studied medical fundamentals at bachelor's level. She has kept learning ever since: about nutrition, about epigenetics, and about how stress relates to the rest of the body.

Cynthia is co-owner of Meditech Europe and has been working in the company since 2022, as Chief Operating Officer. Her background in product management serves her well there: she knows how to assess a product before you sell it.

What Cynthia focuses on

Orthomolecular nutrition

Nutrients: the forms they come in, where they come from and how to fit them into what you eat every day. That was the subject of her training at SOHF and her further training at EMB.

Epigenetics and DNA

How lifestyle and environment relate to the way genes are expressed. She completed iGene's professional DNA training and a further course in epigenetics.

cPNI

Clinical psycho-neuro-immunology looks at how stress, the nervous system and the rest of the body relate to each other. Cynthia completed the introductory course with an exam in 2024.
