What is pH value?

The pH value of a liquid tells you how acidic or alkaline it is. This means whether the liquid has an acidifying or a deacidifying effect. The pH value is denoted by a number. The higher that number, the more alkaline the measured fluid.

Why is the pH value important?

The pH of, for example, gastric acid is low, around 3. It is necessary to properly digest food that enters the stomach and to make that food useful for the body. Blood, on the other hand, is fairly alkaline with a pH value of around 7. Urine again has its own pH value that varies by physical balance 

and can also differ when the body is in imbalance. With the pH meter of Meditech Europe, you can measure what the pH value of each fluid is and keep track of whether it is desirable or not.
