Soladey eco ionic toothbrush

SOLADEY eco is now available in Europe and updates Soladey, the original, popular and revolutionary 'hi tech' ionic toothbrush from Japan.

The eco model uses the standard Soladey replacement head (bristles) and so effectively integrates with the previous brush version (Soladey).

Soladey was first manufactured in the early 1980s and this light activated toothbrush is now used daily by millions of people in Japan primarily, but also now in many other countries.

SoladeySoladey looks like an ordinary toothbrush, but closer examination reveals a titanium (metal) ionic conducting rod, which runs through the replaceable bristle head and into the handle.

SOLADEY eco’s new shaped handle offers a more comfortable and ergonomic grip. It also comes in 6 attractive colours - red, yellow, green, purple, pink and white!

The bacterial population in your mouth has direct impact on your body’s health, the same way that your intestinal flora can influence your general health. With today’s diet it is a challenge to maintain balance. Soladey helps to fight and neutralize the acids that cause bad breath and tooth decay, and the effects can be felt long after you finish brushing!

Drink plenty of water daily to cleanse and assist all bodily functions. Avoid sugars and highly concentrated foods and drinks. A rule of thumb is to seek high water content foods.

Soladey is effective in order to reduce smokers' tobacco stains, and there are many testimonials claiming the removal of difficult stains in a matter of weeks with consistent use of the Soladey ionic brush under a good light source.

This rod is the secret to Soladey. It's made of a patented solar conducting material that allows light, by photoelectric activity, to be converted into a natural energy source which kills the harmful bacteria in your mouth.

How It Works

There is a light-activated titanium rod (semiconductor) inside the handle. When exposed to any light source (a fluorescent bathroom light, a plain light bulb, or sunlight), the photo-sensitive titanium rod inside Soladey converts light into negatively-charged ions (electrons). The rod releases these ions, which blend with saliva to attract positive (hydrogen) ions from the acid in the dental plaque on your teeth.

The acid is then neutralized and plaque is disintegrated - a scientific approach to a cleaner and healthier mouth! Toothpaste is not required as water (saliva) is the acting ingredient - oral hygiene now becomes not only natural, but also economical! For those who find it hard to give up toothpaste, use only very small amount!

The inventor
Dr. Yoshinori Nakagawa
Dr. Yoshinori Nakagawa
Soladey was invented in Japan by Dr. Yoshinori Nakagawa. The name originates from the words ‘Solar’ and ‘Dental’.

Dr. Nakagawa knew that negative ions could be generated from titanium when this metal was exposed to light and water. As with other industrial applications such as water purification and air filtration, ionic power is not a recent discovery.

Research

Clinical studies show that titanium exposed to a light source has an excellent bacterical capacity against Streptococcus mutans., a micro-organism found in the mouth that is particularly related to dental caries.
Onada et al. photocatalytic bactericidal effect of powdered TiO2 on Streptococcus mutans bateria., Denki Kagaku, 56, 1108-1109, 1988.

In Japan a clinical report on titanium toothbrushes found that dental plaque removal was significant during the early phase of plaque formation and concluded that the brush was effective in the control of plaque.
Kusonoki et al. A study on the effect of the solar energy toothbrush on the control of dental plaque. J Osaka Odont. Soc., 49; 550-559, 1986.

Another Japanese study concluded that improvements in gingivitis and oral hygiene can be expected by using a toothbrush equipped with a titanium semiconductor.
Niwa et al. Clinical study on the control of dental plaque using a photo energy conversion toothbrush equipped with a TiO2 semiconductor. Shigaku Vol. 77 No. 2 August 1989.

A clinical study conducted at a Canadian College of Dentistry indicated that removal of plaque - from buccal surfaces especially – was more apparent using the ionic brush than it was using the control brush without semiconductor.

Instructions for use

Wet the brush and rod (saliva is sufficient outdoors) and find the brightest light available (natural or artificial) for brushing. The light source must be sufficient to power a calculator. With toothpaste, use only a small amount. When brushing, grip the handle high enough that the solar panel remains uncovered, allowing light to reach it. Brush teeth after meals or at least twice a day when possible. Follow your dentist’s recommendations. The toothbrush can last a lifetime if used correctly. To keep the rod in good condition, remove the head by pulling the handle out straight along the axis carefully and then clean with a brush.

Soladey – J3X Titanium Ionic Toothbrush Heads

Replace the brush heads regularly (every 2-3 months) to ensure optimal use. Ensure that the rod is always clean. Use a brush to remove any deposits. For correct use of bristles and type consult an oral care expert.
Safety: Always keep the brush head attached to the handle except during replacement.
To change the brush head: Pull the head and handle apart along a straight axis without twisting or bending. Insert the head firmly into the handle.
